The 20's Tri-Fold Brochure

    For this project, we were allowed to choose a certain topic we were interested in. I choose the 1920's because it was a period of time with a lot of change. Our assignment was to use a template on Publisher and come up with an orginal brochure. This project was fun because we were allowed to choose our own topic to research.

Thayer Street Brochure

    After our class trip to Thayer Street in Providence, we were to construct a template of our own using guidelines. We divided the paper in three sections. We were assigned an area of concentration. My area was gifts. I was to make a list of stores where you could purchase a gift for someone. Some of my stores were clothing stores. Some were accessory stores. Others were food stores where you could buy a giftcard for someone. After we had 6-7 stores, we were to put them into our brochure and describe what items they sell. Other information we needed to include the phone number, address, and hours. Our back cover was to be a map of Thayer Street or simply directions to Thayer Street in general. Our front cover was supposed to be original and depict what our brochure was about.

Photoshop Work

This is a picture of the store Spectrum India on Thayer Street. In photoshop, I used the filter gallery. From the filter gallery, I used the crosshatch filter. This gave it the look where you could still see what was in the picture but it was still modified. I didn't want the picture to be too different so people looking at my brochure couldn't tell what they were looking at.
